PRIVACY STATEMENT

GENERAL: We will never reveal your identity, address, phone and personal details to anyone for any reason or for any amount of money - in other words you will not be put onto a third party mailing list. You should know that from time to time we may advise you of products and services that Dog-E-Data offers as we feel you may be interested in these. If you are not interested in receiving this information you may advise us.

TYPES OF INFORMATION
1) Dog-E-Data collects and stores information from users including NAME - ADDRESS - PHONE NUMBERS - E-MAIL addresses. 

We also collect names of DOGS including the animals personal details.

2) This information is stored in a database in a secure directory that is unable to be accessed without appropriate authority or be downloaded directly by any third party.

3) Credit card details ARE NOT STORED on our site or any site or server involved with the actual real time credit card transaction except for our bank.

4) Dog-E-Data uses the Camtech (R) system to enable its e-commerce section of the website. This system has been tested & approved for use on the internet by several banking & credit card institutions including our own bank Westpac. More here

5) Since June 2002, we started using cookies. These are small text files stored on your personal computer. They contain your e-mail address and basic information about what you want and don't want to see on Dog-E-Data. They do not contain any personal information about you. Cookies are not available to anyone else and ours expire after 2 months. You can use our website with cookies 'off' but if you are a member, you may need to log in to several sections to gain access. Having cookies on means you can come and go as often as you want without re-entering your e-mail address etc.

INFORMATION WE REVEAL
1) We only ever show general details of owners and their dogs. 
Specifically we show DOG-E-ID, DOGS NAME & their personal details), SUBURB, STATE, POSTCODE. We never show E-MAIL addresses unless you give us permission.

2)We NEVER reveal your identity to anyone either verbally, or electronically.

3) We NEVER ask you for your address via e-mail or telephone.

4) We will NEVER ask you for a password and E-mail address via mail or telephone as this is your security key.

5) We will NEVER reveal your current dog registration status to any council. It should be noted that we approve & highly recommend dog registration and microchipping where these laws apply. This greatly increases the chance of lost dog recovery.

5) We WILL ONLY ask you for a DOG-E-ID number & POSTCODE if dealing with you on the phone by e-mail as well as the first part of your residential address or part of your phone number to confirm who you are. 

6) Our confirmation to you of other relevant details that only you and we know, will be your assurance that you are actually dealing with DOG-E-DATA if you were ever unsure.
