THE
DOG-E-ID TAG & PHOTO ID
Dog-E-Data offers the very best
protection for your canine pal for an affordable, once only 'Life Of
The Dog' membership fee, currently just $45.00
for the 1st dog... (discounts for multiple dogs joined at the
same time)
But a Dog-E-ID Tag and Photo ID is much more than just 'identification'
for your dog.
Our large, highly visible bright yellow nylon disc tags are your dogs
chance to 'call home' 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in the event that he
or she should do a 'houdini'
(the world's most famous escapologist) and escape from your home.
Our Photo ID service (included in your membership) ensures you have
immediate access to a photo of your dog in the form of a Lost Dog-E-
poster should you ever require it.
Our 'recovery logs' show that most dogs are recovered within the first
5-10 minutes of getting out and are returned to their grateful owners
typically within 20 - 30 minutes.
In fact many owners don't even know their dog has gone missing!
Where owners need to report their dog as missing, our unique 'Dog-E-Alert'
system swings into action:
This can be done by members themselves at the click of a button or by
us.
HOW THE
LOST DOG-E-ALERTS WORK
1) An automated Lost Dog-E-Alert is sent via e-mail to
all members in the postcode area where the dog was reported as missing.
This e-mail profiles the dog and it's details and provides a link to a
photo on the website.
2) Vets and pounds in the area where the dog was reported missing
are alerted that one of our member's dogs has been reported missing and
to contact us if someone does happen to bring it in.
3) An automatically created LOST DOG-E-POSTER is
immediately available for members to print and distribute locally. With
a photo and your dogs details instantly available, this is a powerful
tool and has already been responsible for the speedy return of many
dogs.!
4) If you don't have internet access - many of our members don't
- or you may be on holidays with your dog - we will provide you with
phone numbers of local vets, pounds etc and even FAX your Lost
Dog-E-Poster to a local library, newsagent or wherever you have access.
You can then photocopy and distribute the poster as required.
In other words - we work WITH you to help ensure the speedy
return of your dog. This is all part of your lifetime membership.
A SMALL
CALL CENTRE FEE
Once the dog is SAFELY returned to you, we then ask that you pay
a small Call Centre Fee of just $20.00.
This fee helps us continue to run the FreeCall number Australia Wide
24hours a day 7 days a week 365 day a year!

BUT
MY DOG IS MICROCHIPPED
EXCELLENT!
- And so it should be based on NSW law and soon to be law in other
states. Dog-E-Data is NOT in competition with the microchipping system
and vice versa.
99% of dogs we find in NSW alone are all microchipped. Many other
dogs around the country are 'chipped' too. This is a great system for
permanent identification of a dog if ever there was any doubt, but do
you have a scanner? Do you know someone who does?
Not all vets do, and they don't have to have one either. Scanners are an
expensive and non-income producing purchase.
So to scan a microchip, finders have to physically take the dog to the
vets or local council pound to be scanned.
*
TYPICAL
SCENARIO FOR DOGS FOUND WITHOUT A DOG-E-ID TAG
A
typical scenario for a lost dog without one of our tags is that if the
dog has managed to avoid being run down by a car, finders unable to
contact owners via ordinary name tags the first time call directory
assistance and ask for the Local Council Ranger.
The dog is then collected and usually goes off to the pound for
'processing'.
And yes - they will contact you if your dog is microchipped... as long
as you've kept your details up to date!
And chances are you will be fined for having an off-leash dog as well as
any pound fees owing such as a dog picked up late Friday may not be
released from a pound until Monday morning or Tuesday if it's a long
weekend - a 3 or 4 night stay-over!

MY
DOG NEVER GETS OUT!
To which we often reply... "Poor
thing!"...
Seriously though, our database is full of 'dogs that never get
out'.
Why? - Because accidents happen.
* FACT: A storm blew a Colorbond fence down allowing two Siberian
Huskies to get out for a run...run....run... as Huskies do!
* FACT: A tradesman was asked to ensure the gate was always
closed while working on a house during the day while the owners were at
work. His mate came to visit for lunch and... LEFT THE GATE OPEN!
* FACT: An un-desexed female 'came on heat' in a quiet
suburban street. Even though the local desexed males still showed an
interest with some succeeding in jumping high fences, intact males will
stop at almost nothing - or rather NOTHING WILL STOP an intact
male getting to the source of his desire. A good case for de-sexing!
AN
ACCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN:
A loose dog on the street is a danger to itself and the cars on the
road. Plus you may also be liable if your dog causes an accident. Having
an easily identifiable 24 hour 7 day FreeCall phone number on your dog
is a sure way of getting your lost dog off the street quickly.

A
SIMPLE BUT EFFECTIVE SYSTEM
We offer a 24hour, 7 day
FreeCall 1800 number that finders call when they spot a missing dog. The
number, 1800 444 364 is engraved on your dogs tag along with its
own special ID number.
On the other side is our logo and website address.
Every dog has its own personal file. On
the 'outside' - the internet - it's a web-page with photo and basic
information about the dog.

Safely tucked away inside - it's a
comprehensive store of confidential contact information provided by you
when joining.
You have space to provide us with your home, work and mobile phone
numbers.
Additionally you have the opportunity to advise us what you want us to
do in the event we can't contact you on those numbers.
Options include - Call My Vet, Call
My Friend / Neighbour or Call The Ranger.
As a Dog-E-Data member, YOU can UPDATE
the details at any time.

WE
NEVER GIVE UP!
We are always reluctant to call 'The Ranger'.... Not because we
don't like them.. WE DO.. and in fact they like us because we are
starting to help keep the number of stray dog related call-outs down.
But if a Ranger / Council Pound ends up with your dog, you will probably
be fined for having a dog off-leash in a public place and have to pay
pound release fees etc which can be very expensive.
So how do we claim 'WE NEVER GIVE UP?' - by trying every resource
available to contact you, even if you've moved and have forgotten to
update your details with us.
This includes contacting friends, neighbours, your old work perhaps -
all to try and track you down to re-unite you with your dog.
We also ask finders if they can look after the dog for up to 24 hours.
This is not always easy for finders, some of whom don't even
particularly like dogs! (can you imagine that!).
A recent innovation has seen us ask members in the area where the dog
was found if they can mind your dog for a day or two.
This has proved to be a fantastic resource that saves all members time
and money and is a way members can support each other.

YOUR
PRIVACY!
No information about you or
your dog appears on the Dog-E-ID Tag.
We NEVER give your phone number or address to finders. WE
contact YOU and give you the finder's information.
This simple method ensures your privacy as you can then arrange to meet
the finder away from your home
